WalkingWorld.jpg
Another good one. Walkingworld has huge library of guides with a good selection of walks, of varying lengths and grades, pretty well anywhere in the UK. The walks come in an excellent format making them very easy to follow, with photographs to illustrate every important decision point and a proper Ordnance Survey map.

A modist annual subscription gives you unlimited access to all the walks. However you can Pay As Go by downloading indiviual walks.

Crucially you can also find walks France, Spain, Norway, Portugal and Australia!

Really nice clean friendly site definitely worth a visit

A lovely caravan park in a nice area. Close to many places of interest. There's a great pub The Gate Inn providing good food.

We stayed for one night with our folding camper (delighted to find a site that didn't require caravan club membership!) and were impressed with the size and flatness of the pitches (chunky gravel underfoot), each with mains hookup and standpipe. It seemed surprising that for such a big campsite there were only 2 toilets and 2 showers, but having said that, we never had to queue even though the site was more than half full. And the facilities were really clean and the showers were great - decent flow and they don't keep switching off either. The only drawback to the site is the distance to the facilities, and we were one of the closest pitches. I'd have given them 5 stars for making a walk way through the barbed wire fence and strip of woodland right behind our pitch, because it would have halved the distance to the toilets!

Very nice site, clean and tidy. Only downside is that the facilities seem a long way from the caravan pitch

Went with friends who are regulars. Had a fabulous time. Staff are extremely friendly. Small pub with restaurant area. Our friends recommend the food which we are going to try on our next visit. Can't wait

Just had lunch at this lovely little pub. Haven't visited in many years. Friendly host and good meal very accommodating. Really enjoyed it and hope the new owner's make it a successful business.
